Imran Khan is a Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician.
Imran khan is a former cricketer and famous leader, born on 25th November 1952 in Lahore (PAKISTAN). He is a Pakistani politician and former cricketer. He played cricket for Pakistan almost two decades in late 20th century and, after his retirement from cricket he participated in politics. He is known and famous personality around world because of his social work for humanity. Besides these activities, he is also a cricket commentator, philanthropist, chancellor of the Bradford University and chairman of Imran Khan is one of the famous personalities of Pakistan. Imran Khan is a political person and well known chairperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Imran Khan has so many followers and especially youth is stand with him for developing Naya Pakistan.
He is the only Pakistani captain that led his country to victory in 1992 cricket world Cup. He was the most successful captain in the history of Pakistan cricket; he played cricket for Pakistan from 1972 t0 1992 and serve his country as role of captain from 1982 to 1992. At the age of thirty-nine, Imran Khan led his cricket team to victory in 1992 cricket world cup. It was the Pakistan’s first success in the history of cricket world cup and after that Pakistan not been able to win any cricket world cup yet 2015. In July 2010, Imran khan was introduced into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
Imran is from the Niazi Pashtun Shermankhel tribe of mianwali Pakistan. His family is settled in Lahore Punjab. However, he still considers himself and his heritage Pashtun (Pathan) as per his autobiography. He and his mother Shaukat khanum comes from a cricketing burki family, with two of his cousins Javed Burki and Majid Khan also having played Test cricket for Pakistan.

Shaukat Khanam Memorial Trust built in 1991at Lahore District Province Punjab. He laid down the foundation of this charity organization, the organization bear’s the name of his mother Shaukat Khanam. It was the first and only cancer hospital built in Pakistan, constructed with the donations and funds collected by khan all around world.

3: FOUNDATION OF IMRAN KHAN:
Imran khan foundation is based on welfare work, which is helping needy and poor people in all around Pakistan. In different sudden natural disasters and calamities, Imran khan foundation teams reach on victims place and help people via various sources.
Imran Khan is well known social worker. He is running his own Imran Khan Foundation (IKF). He has also established a cancer hospital named Shokat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. This cancer hospital was established in the memory of her mother and completely dedicated to Pakistani Nation for free Treatment. Imran Khan is also a president of Namal College where education is free for everyone.
In year 1996, Imran Khan founded a political party name Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Imran Khan has supported General Parvez Musharraf but after referendum he has separated from his party. In year 2002, he has participated in election and gained only one vote from Mianwali. But in year 2011, he has addressed about 100,000 followers at Minar-e-Pakistan and it was considered a big crowd. In the last election, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has won the election from Khyber Pakhtoon Khuan (KPK) and being considered to be as a third big political party of Pakistan.
